Spring planting day

This Saturday was our scheduled planting day and although it was a bit hot (high of 85!), we really lucked out pretty well with the weather. After looking and feeling like it might rain in the morning, the clouds cleared up and it was a lovely day. With the help of some family, we were able to get quite a bit in the ground by the early afternoon including:

  • Milkweed seed (from last year’s plants)
  • Nicotiana seed (from last year’s plants)
  • Marigold seed (from last year’s plants)
  • Sunflower seed
  • Bush bean seed
  • Soybean seed
  • Tomato seed
  • Squash seed
  • Jalepeño pepper seed
  • Muskmelon seed
  • Bachelor buttons seed
  • Double daffodil bulb’s from Andrew’s Pop-pop’s garden

Last year, we started most of our plants inside so this year is an experiment to start most of our plants outside. We’ll see how it goes!
